These are  beautiful pieces of Maori jewellery with Paua shell accents. These hand-carved piece depicts a tiki face. The Maori necklace comes with a black wax cord. The binding is tight, which is paramount for a long-lasting Toki. The height that the pendant hangs at can be adjusted using the sliding knots. All pieces are individually carved so slight variations can occur.
The Adze or Toki symbolizes strength as it represents the traditional Maori tool, whose blade had to be strong so as not to break when used.
